Experience
During the past twenty five years, I have successfully worked with learners of all ages and background in various settings. For example I have instructed students at Longfellow Middle School in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and the Dodge County Detention Facility as an Adult Education Instructor for Moraine Park Technical College. I served as an at-risk coordinator for grade eight students at the former and worked as an adult GED instructor at the latter. In addition, I have worked with gifted individuals as well when I worked with PAT--Program for the Academically Talented--in the Milwaukee Public Schools. Another important experience I would like to note is that for the past two summers I have instructed Middle/High School level Special Education Students (CDS) as part of the summer school program in the Beaver Dam Unified School District. Recently, I completed a long term sub position as a Grade 3 Literacy Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Beaver Dam. Hobbies
I am currently the mother of two wonder boys, ages 11 and 13. I enjoy supporting them in their interests which include friends, swimming, and JUDO at the moment. I spent time reading aloud to them. Currently I am reading the "Prophet of Yonwood" (Jeanne Du Prau) part of the "City of Ember" series. I also spend time with them and their friends. I am passionate about children and fostering a loving environment for them. I also spent much time supporting my guys with their school work. :) During the summers, we are busy "traveling on a shoestring" partaking in adventures at museums, state parks, and area swimming pools. Currently the EAA museum in Oshkosh, Lake Park in Port Washington, and the Sun Prairie Aquatic Center are some of our favorite haunts. While my boys swim, I try to "sneak some time" to read in order to grow as a person. I am currently reading "Boundaries" by Cloud/Townsend.
